Monalic Modupe

Producer Summer Heat Fashion Week

Monalic Modupe, a young man who hails from Kimberley in the Northern Cape, is an actor, model and entrepreneur. After joining a modelling school in Kimberely in 2016, Monalic walked the Free State Fashion Week and the Shine Fashionable Show before joining the Summer Heat Family in May 2016. After auditioning for Summer Heat and being selected as a finalist, Monalic represented Northern Cape as an actor and male model at the Summer Heat National Auditions in December 2016, where made it into the Top 5 for modelling. 
In 2017, Monalic travelled around South Africa with Summer Heat, where he assisted in scouting talent. From this he joined the e-TV team and was cast as a featured DJ in Rhythm City. He was also selected to walk for the Talent Express and the Family Factory Fashion Shows.
Monalic is the CEO Hollywood Ambitions and, with assistance from the Summer Heat Team, has conceptualised and produced the Summer Heat Fashion Week. 
Monalic has chosen to start this event, which promises to take the SA fashion world by storm, in his home province of Northern Cape this year before going national next year. 

Owner and Director of Summer Heat

Gillian Habib is the owner and director of Summer Heat Model & Talent Search. She has strong marketing, event planning and creative talents with extensive experience and a multitude of ideas waiting to be put together. Together with her previous business partners, she conceptualised and grew the entire idea of Summer Heat Model & Talent Search and has managed it hands-on since its inception.
Starting her career in the live theatre industry, Gillian has experience in all aspects of live performance, from sales and marketing, press and public relations, to scene changing, wardrobe, lighting and sound operation in both commercial theatre and revue style cabaret. Her career, spanning more than 25 years, has taken Gillian through a multitude of other industries, including magazine editing, conference planning, loyalty programmes and Food & Beverage and Hotel Management with companies including Sun International and San Lameer. She was the event manager of the first Margate Africa Bike week in 2008 and the team leader for the group that broke a Guinness World Record in July 2008.
The skills gained in each of the areas she undoubtedly excelled in, now also include public and motivational speaking. She loves the marketing aspect for Summer Heat and has been interviewed on radio and television, as well as quoted frequently in newspapers and magazines but her passion lies in supporting each contestant that participates in Summer Heat and she is fondly known as Mama G or Mom to most of them.
Jordan-Jade (Jay-Jade)

Director of Summer Heat

Singer and Actor, Jordan, known as Jay-Jade, was basically raised with a theatre and performing arts background, as both her parents are in the industry. Jay-Jade has been backstage with legendary artists including Prime Circle, Rocco de Villiers, Nate Butler from America’s Got Talent, South African Actors Jonathan Taylor and Michael de Pinna and numerous others.
Although she has been involved in Summer Heat since its inception, she decided to travel the journey that all the Summer Heat contestants go through and first auditioned for Summer Heat in 2014 Where she was selected as a finalist and performed for the judges. She was invited to attend the ARTS Showcase in Orlando, Florida. Jay-Jade has also performed at the Margate Mardi Gras and at various Tourism South Coast functions. She was a guest singer at the Face of Diva Divine Crowning and auditioned for SA’s Got Talent. She also appeared on SABC 1 as a model for Ms Curvy Body SA. Pursuing her love for the industry led to Jay-Jade being cast as an extra on an American movie which was shot in SA, where she also assisted the Wardrobe department; and working on wardrobe and props for a major British Netflix television series starring Matt Smith of Dr Who fame. She has also been part of numerous television commercials as an “extra”.
Jay-Jade has worked in the Summer Heat Model & Talent Search office since June 2015 and has taken control of the admin for Summer Heat auditions for the past 2 years. She has acted as a group leader for the singer contestants at the Summer Heat finals for 2 years in a row and has mentored them through their performances and also directed group performances with them. She loves working with talent and being part of this rapidly growing family.
